i realized today that i am out of the loop when it comes to popular culture. i try my level best to keep abreast of the ever changing world of starlets, musicians and other famous faces. it's a tough thing to manage, especially when half of the pop culture come from north america and you happen to not be living in it. the result is we hear, see and read about 75% of what goes on in the 'real' world. my feeling of not being in the know is because i have been assigned to do an interview with a famous celebrity of whom i have never heard of...namely jesse mccartney.

shortly after being told, i was clueless as to who this person might be. a quick google and subsequent 2.5 hours of reading gave me a bigger picture of who he is. he's actually a pretty big deal to some people (mostly 13-18 y.o females). for those of you who don't know him and i hope i wasn't the only one, he played bradin westerly on the short-lived, WB series "summerland." he also had a rold on all my children for 3 years, has produced 2 solo albums and is starring in his own movie next year. all this and he's only 19.
