i would like to touch on a subject which some readers might find a bit offensive...the subject of poo. a recent development has occured with which i would like to share with one and all...if you're faint of heart, stop reading now.
when i first stepped foot on taiwanese soil 2.5 years ago, i immediately started to have a change in my daily routine...namely in the shape my bowel movements took. i assumed, naturally, that this was the result of of a massive change in diet as well as stess, related to my situation. i experienced what i would term as a liquid b.m and assumed that given an adjustment period, things would return to normal.
as time wore on, this trend continued. i began to worry about it and even considered seeing a doctor to remedy the situation, but again decided that things would be alright if i just gave it a little more time.
it soon became a case where if i did in fact have a solid crap, it would be cause for celebration. i might even go as far as to announce this harrowing fact to friends as it was an event that happened far and few in between.
well, dear reader, it would seem after sampling every bit of food in this topsy-turvy universe, my constitution has finally adjusted. for the last month or so, yours truly has been able to sit upon the throne and drop my leavings in a regular way. i'm not sure as to why...there has been no major change in my diet to speak of, nor have i started taking any sort of medication to encourage this change but can i get a 'what-what' that things are finally back to normal?
i know it might seem a bit stupid that i would waste precious kilobytes discussing so banal a topic, but i think i can speak for everyone out there that there is something to be said for taking a proper shit. there's always a sense of accomplishment when you've pinched a loaf and feel a little bit lighter...more free to go about your day and i'm not afraid to say i'm proud to be one of you fortunate people again.
